EVILDOERS
To live the more than abundant life and to be
a conqueror in every single situation, you need to understand that Satan works
through people. These people can be
referred to as evildoers. We are going to
try to cover every important aspect of these people.
Be not deceived: evil communications [associations] corrupt good
manners [morals]. – I Corinthians 15: 33
You need to be extra sharp to recognize an
evildoer. Satan is the most deceptive
being ever created and he can fool even the best of us.
And no marvel; for Satan himself
is transformed into an angel of light. – II Corinthians 11: 14
However, the more of the Word of God that you
know and apply, the less he can fool you and deceive you to the point of
destruction. In fact, by knowing how he
works, you can, should be, and will defeat him in every aspect of his
being. Now, I will try to keep this as
simple and understandable as I can for you.
You know that I do not act like some spiritual heavy or some great
apostle or disciple. I am just like you,
maybe with the exception that I know a lot more of the Word of God. A teacher must know more than his students,
but it is nothing to brag about – it is nothing to feel vain about. Speaking of vanity and iniquity, we are going
to go over the definitions of both of these terms. They describe an evildoer.
VANITY -- vanity is emptiness or
worthlessness. Anything or act that is
vain, futile, idle, or worthless is vanity.
Now another common meaning that most of us can identify with is where a
person is excessively conceited. So
vanity has a number of meanings and they are all negative. Most evildoers believe that they are better
than everyone else and in turn, are full of vanity or conceit. Many people that you meet every day are like
this in many ways. The deception is the
fact that they hide it from you. A
person that acts like your good friend could be full of vanity. It happened to me. I lost what I thought was my best friend at
one point in my life. And believe it or
not, it was when I turned to God and the Bible that this friend started to turn
against me. You see that light makes
manifest darkness and that is what happened with this situation. My friend was always vain to a certain extent,
but I learned to put up with it. When it
came to the Word of God, I put up with it no longer and we parted our ways and
I have never seen that person again.
Let’s move onto another quality of an evildoer and that is iniquity.
INIQUITY -- iniquity, to some extent, is very
much like vanity. Iniquity is a lack of
righteousness or justice. It is
wickedness. It is a wicked unjust or unrighteous
act. In other words, it is the opposite
of what the Word of God teaches. It is
sin and so is vanity. An evildoer, as we
will see from the Word of God, is someone who operates vanity and iniquity as a
way of life. By making this aware to
you, it is my heart that you are able to more clearly and quickly recognize an
evildoer.
Behold, God will not cast away a
perfect man, neither will he help the
evil doers: -- Job 8: 20
It may appear that the wicked will prosper,
but in the long run he will be destroyed by the god that he worships. When you strive to be perfect in this life by
applying God’s Word, God will never leave you or cast you away. He will never forsake you no matter what the
circumstances appear to be. I have
experienced this time and time in my life.
Many times we seem to lose patience with God because God knows the exact
moment in time that something should be done.
So don’t faint in your mind and never give up because God is there and
He’s going to help you when He’s got the adversary just where He wants
him. Just today, I have a person making
a lot of noise by tearing down a garage that was burnt to a crisp by his own
god. I could not get started on this
teaching until today. God felt that
today was the day to nail the adversary to the wall. Already I feel much better about doing this
teaching and any noise that I hear I can just about hear it. I’ve got heavy plugs in my both ears and a
moderate static coming out of one of my huge Sony stereos. It is comfortable for me and I’m enjoying putting this teaching together for you. This website has been under some criticism
lately because it is made only for certain believers and not for everyone. The people who want to believe in religion
and television preachers that make no sense and avoid important subjects like
Jesus Christ is not God - if these people want to go to hell, it’s their prerogative. Did you ever meet someone who criticizes
something that you do and they know nothing about what you do? This is Satan. This is what he does. Don’t react.
Let me bring up a positive subject about what we should be thinking
about, even though we are surrounded with negative situations. God says the following:
Set your affection on things
above, not on things on the earth. – Colossians 3: 2
The word affection means what we are to think
on. God wants us to think on spiritual
matters – that’s what the word above is referring to. In contrast, God does not want us to think on
things of the earth. In the book of
Corinthians, it is clearly stated that the devil is the present god of this
world. So if you are thinking on and
concentrating only on the things of the earth, did you are thinking about what
the devil wants you to think about. And
in turn, you become an evildoer. So
think on things of God and do not think about things of the earth. Let me go to a powerful Scripture in
Philippians. This verse is more
involved, but yet when it concludes, it tells you exactly what you should be
thinking on. Let’s go to the verse. It’s one that you should be familiar with.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things
are
honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be
any virtue, and if there
be any praise, think on these things. -- Philippians 4: 8
Could
God make it any clearer? These are the
types of thinking that we must renew our mind to until it becomes habitual in
our lives. True – honest - just – pure –
lovely – and of good report. I challenge
you to try your very best to think like the above Scripture exhorts us to think. You will absolutely begin to feel better
about everything in your life. It takes
a renewed mind effort. The Word says I
can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. That means that you can do this and there is
no excuse not to. By thinking in this
manner, you push away the evildoers because they cannot stand light when they
are full of darkness. Light always
dispels darkness.
Although
all of the Word is positive in its teaching.
I wanted to place some of God’s Word in the middle part of this teaching
on evil doers. You may have been
wondering how you are going to defeat these evildoers. Above, you have two Scriptures that give you
guidance on how to accomplish this.
In Job 8: 20 above, God says that He will not
help the evildoers. God may love
everyone but He can only do what a believer believes he will do according to
His Word. It all boils down to that
simple statement that you all have heard before. What a person gives out will come back to
them. Some people call it Karma. Some people say that what goes around comes
around. I like to say it like the Word
says. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Another way it was put to me one time before
I knew anything about the Bible, it was said to me by a girlfriend who I did a
terrible thing to. She walked by me and
I could still remember where I was and I could still remember the weather that
day. She looked at me and she said
“Every dog gets their day.” I never
forgot that statement because it came true.
If it weren’t for God’s Word, I don’t believe I would be here
today. By the way, that old girlfriend
stayed away from me all her life. So you
pay for what you do wrong whether you believe it or not. It can happen in a day a month, or 40 years,
but you will pay for the wrong that you have done. Can you imagine what an evildoer goes through
as they get older? What can I say? You all know what I mean and I bet every one
of you has gone through something similar to what I just described. I admit that I am a romanticist and always
have been. I think there is nothing more
beautiful in this present world as a man with his maid and it says so in the
Bible. I could never understand and
still cannot as to why two people that were involved with each other do not
talk and have no communication and go out of their way to avoid each
other. It makes no sense.
God will never turn his back on a righteous
man, but He will not help the evildoers.
You should have heard by now that in many
parts of the New Testament, we are not to fellowship with evildoers. Light cannot fellowship with darkness. Let’s take a look at Psalms at some more of
what God has to say about the evildoer.
I have hated the congregation of
the evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. – Psalm
26: 5
God hates the congregation of the
evildoers. He will not sit with the
wicked. God is saying that He will not
fellowship with darkness because He despises the congregation of evildoers. This is hard for some people to
understand. God can still love the
evildoers. But he is not going to
associate with them. Many times on our
every day jobs, we have to work with some people who are truly evildoers. I learned to smile and excuse myself from
this type of person and get away from them.
They do not have the Spirit of God inside them. That makes you wiser and smarter in every
single way than that person. You can
appear to get along with a certain person, and that person doesn’t even know
that you are aware of their presence and actions. This takes some time and some practice on
your part. Why am I teaching this? Because I tried to reason with this type of
person for many, many long years of my life.
I brought nothing but aggravation and defeat to my own life because it
took me forever to learn to keep my mouth shut.
It was said to me once by a very wise woman of God. She said to me “if a person is evil and does
wrong, why should it bother me?” Did you
ever hear of a statement so simple but yet making so much sense? After this, I reasoned in my mind that the
statement this believer told me was absolutely true. At one time, I thought that I could change
the whole world. But only the Word of
God changes people. And when I learned
that, I never argued with another person again.
Because no one wins an argument.
I hope this sinks in for some of you.
I believe it will.
The following are some ways to counter the
evildoers which is what we are interested in.
Fret not thyself because of
evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. – Psalm
37: 1
We are not to get all upset over the antics of
evildoers. We should renew our mind not
to react. Although many evildoers
prosper, it is because their god prospers them.
There is always a price to pay for this type of prosperity. Do not be envious against these people. Don’t let them get under your skin. Ignore and avoid them. If you give them a reaction,
that is what Satan wants. Many
times, silence is the most deadliest weapon you have
against Satan.
For evildoers shall be cut
off: but those that wait upon the Lord,
they shall inherit the earth. – Psalm 37: 9
Next God is making a request to us.
Who will rise up for me against
the evildoers? or who
will stand for me against the workers of iniquity? -- Psalm
94: 16
God needs people who will stand up for
Him. He needs you. The Word of God defeats the evildoers. Don’t be afraid to speak the Word to these
people. Be gentle for it is the
gentleness of God that leadeth thee to repentance. If they don’t want to listen or believe, then
get away and stay away.
Depart from me, ye
evildoers: for I will keep the
commandments of my God. – Psalm 119: 115
Let us now study the book of Isaiah regarding
evildoers.
Ah sinful nation, a people laden
with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have
provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. – Isaiah 1: 4
Who have these evildoers forsaken? They have forsaken the Lord and provoked God
to anger. It’s not nice to make God
angry.
The seed of an evildoer shall be profitless
and worthless while a righteous man shall have eternal life.
Thou shalt not be joined with
them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain
thy people: the seed of evildoers shall
never be renowned. -- Isaiah 14: 20
We can see that the life of an evildoer
contradicts the Word of God. Although
the subject of evildoers is nothing but negative, we need to know our enemy and
need to know his devices. This is how we
defeat him. This makes it more difficult
for him to defeat us. This allows us to
be more than a conqueror in everything that we do.
Nay, in all these things we are
more than conquerors through him that [who] loved us. –
Romans 8: 37
