Satan’s ENDLESS Suggestions
Be
particular with your freedom of will.
Never
lose control of making freewill decisions.
That statement just may be the most important statement you may ever have heard in your complete life. It, along with other principles from God’s Perfect and Matchless Word, helped to change my life and save my life. By the end of this teaching, you can set you more set free than you have ever been and your life will be changed.
For that which I do I allow
not: for what I would, that do I not;
but what I hate, that do I. If then I
do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin
that dwelleth in me. – Romans 7: 15-17
Did you ever study these Scriptures? Simply they say ‘why am I doing the things I hate to do and not doing the things I really want to do?’ The reason is due to sin and the originator of sin is Satan, the devil.
The point I’m trying to make is ARE YOU MAKING FREEWILL DECISIONS? OR are you making decisions based strictly on outside influences such as other people, television, the internet and/or any other type of devil spirit influences? Satan has a devil spirit for every emotion you can think of. At times they work alone and at other times they work in combination. Oppression and depression devil spirits often work together to make a person’s life miserable.
When you are set free, you are free in the innermost part of your mind which is your heart. This allows you to think clearly and make YOUR OWN decisions by YOUR OWN free will.
And ye shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free. – John 8: 32
The battlefield is between the ears, it is in the mind. By controlling our thoughts by knowing what God’s Word says for every single situation, we crush Satan. He then cannot control or influence us. Therefore he is not making our decisions and controlling our lives. That’s why II Timothy 2: 15 is so important.
Study to shew thyself approved
unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word
of truth. – II Timothy 2: 15
I gave up my old life to rightly divide the Word of truth and received true life in return. It’s a blast to destroy the works of the devil. That’s why we are alive – to continue the work of Jesus Christ who always did the Father’s Will.
And in nothing terrified by
your adversaries: which is to them an
evident token of perdition [destruction], but to you of salvation [wholeness], and that of God. –
Philippians 1: 28
You must understand that the believer’s only enemy, in its least common denominator, is fear. Fear is sand in the machinery of life. The only thing that will rid your life of fear is the rightly divided Word of God.
The fear of man bringeth a
snare: but whoso putteth his trust in
the Lord shall be safe. – Proverbs 29: 25
Fear brings about a trap. Many times that trap is in the form of the enemy’s endless suggestions which may be running and controlling your life without you even knowing it. Believe me, this is a major point. I want you to think about it for a while. ARE YOU REALLY DOING WHAT YOU WANT TO DO EVERY DAY? Here are some questions:
1. Do you watch television because everyone else does or do you have a productive reason to do so?
2. Did you buy a cell phone because everyone else did or do you have a specific reason to own a cell phone?
3. Do you frequent certain social events due to peer pressure or because you have an important, productive and Godly reason to do so?
Peer pressure is one of Satan’s major devices used to control people’s actions. And the ironic part of this is that people do not admire “Yes” people. They follow and admire independent thinkers. Was Jesus Christ an independent thinker? You bet he was. He always did God’s Will. By doing God’s will, you are free to live by free will. Here is a Scripture that always fascinated me.
For the Word of God is
quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even
to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. – Hebrews 4: 12
The Word of God sets you free and is a critic of the emotions and ideas of the heart. It cuts out the old man thoughts and will show you what you SHOULD be doing with your life. Until you know and apply God’s Words in your life, you will truly never really know what you should be doing with your life. That, to me, is truly amazing. That is one of the 900+ promises in the Word. Look at the figure of speech that God uses in this verse – ‘and of the joints and marrow’. Do you know that it is physically and scientifically impossible to separate the joints from the marrow? Trying to separate yourself from the world’s influence is like trying to do this. It just isn’t going to happen. The Word will set you free from Satan’s endless suggestions and in turn, his control over your life.
Once you know the Word of God, there is just no turning back. You should burn all your bridges so you cannot go back.
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment, delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. – II Peter 2: 20-22
Many believers sometimes turn their back on God and return to their old man ways. This can be due to pressure that seems overwhelming. But the only reason this can happen is because a believer is weak in one or more areas of the Word. The enemy goes after your weaknesses, not your strong points. When a believer returns to the pollutions of the world after knowing the Word of God, he becomes worse than he was before he even knew the Word. The enemy will wait for you to ‘cop out’ and then he will hit you with everything he’s got. So you need to stand strong and cement your heart all around with God’s matchless Word. Our work for God is never in vain.
Therefore, my beloved brethren,
be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch
as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. – I Corinthians 15: 58
And let us not be weary in well
doing: for in due season we shall reap,
if we faint not. – Galatians 6: 9
Someone once told me that if you want to stop spinning your wheels, making constant errors, and simply wasting your time, just listen to what people tell you to do and DO THE OPPOSITE. Of course, there are exceptions to this especially when it comes to what a believer in fellowship may tell you or teach you. But this statement stayed with me. How many times I had people tell me where to go to find a certain car part or any part and I ran around almost all day until I sat down and made my OWN DECISIONS as to where I was going to search. Then I found what I was looking for.
Satan has endless suggestions and you must remember this. You can only discern truth from error IF YOU KNOW AND APPLY GOD’S RIGHTLY DIVIDED WORD. Remember what makes you free? The truth.
I really see no purpose in extending this teaching beyond the fact of establishing the main point. The true God is always trying to do everything He can do to help you. The enemy is always trying to do everything he can do to steal, kill, and destroy you. Your vote determines the election.
The thief [Satan] cometh
not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I [Jesus Christ] am come that they might have life, and that they might
have it
more abundantly. – John 10: 10
After being born again of God’s Spirit, you must then
STUDY and RENEW YOUR MIND. You must put
on the mind of Christ and remember, Jesus Christ always did the Father’s
Will. That is the only way you will
recognize a suggestion from Satan as compared to sound productive, advice,
guidance and counseling coming from the true God and Father of our Lord and
Saviour, Jesus Christ.
I can do all things through
Christ which [who] strengtheneth me. – Philippians 4: 13
Literal translation according to usage:
“I am ready for everything and
equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me.” –
Philippians 4: 13
Your decision is to either become an independent thinker based on your own free will or become a ‘yes’ person and stay influenced and controlled all your life by the god of this world. Don’t be a coward. Take a stand for the true God and don’t budge.
