The  Arm  Of  GOD

Blessed is  the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.  – Jeremiah 17: 7

Getting right to the point of our teaching, we are to trust in the Lord and we are not to trust in the five senses, or the arm of man.  We are fortunate to know, study, and apply the Word of God in our everyday lives.  We can turn to the arm of God because we know God and that is because we know His Word.  God is His Word.  Think about it logically -- it is so simple.  How do we know each other?  We know each other by our words.  Words are extremely powerful and Words of God will always bless you, edify you, and exhort you.  The arm of man will appear to help you at times because you will get part truths from it and when you need serious advice, the arm of man, whose source is Satan, will let you down and you will fall flat on your face.  Almost all unbelievers rely on the arm of man.  That is just one of the reasons why there is so much chaos in this world today.  Many people do not keep God first.  They almost don't even acknowledge His existence.  This trend will only lead to destruction in these peoples’ lives.  But we can thank God that we have a way out.

For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that  spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.  – Jeremiah 17: 8

Continuing the thought from verse seven we see that a man who trusts in the Lord and in whose hope is in the Lord is like a tree planted by the waters.  It spreads out her roots by the river and shall not be affected when heat comes, but her leaf shall remain green.  This tree will not be affected by any drought and it shall not cease from yielding fruit.

This verse is actually a figure of speech.  God is referring to the believer who trusts in Him and turns to the arm of God.  That believer will be protected from any destruction in this present world.  The term “arm of God” is also a figure of speech because God is Spirit and He has no arms.

God will direct your ways to keep you from harm.  He will show you how to prepare to deal with the adversary if you have to.  My wife and myself just went through a serious ordeal on a major auction site.  The seller actually swapped items and it did not agree with what was in the pictures.  We were more than prepared to deal with this person and we received a full refund plus shipping for a rather expensive item.  You see, my wife and I, we turn and rely on the arm of God.  So before the settlement even took place, we were more than ready to act with a powerful letter to the CEO of the company.  We were thankful that we did not have to send it.  But the point that I want you to see is that by relying on the arm of God, we were ready to crush the adversary no matter what he did.  Glory to God, not to us.

As I have stated in the last few previous teachings, I am turning back to the basics of the Word of God.  When we lose the basics of God's Word, we will eventually have chaos in our lives.  I know of a great ministry that somehow started to push aside the basics of God's Word.  People started to worship people and as things became more complicated, the Ministry fell apart.  We will not let this happen to this website.  So I am teaching you the basics once again of the Word.  The following Scripture is so foundational and so simple that we can miss it for years.  It says so much in so few words and stresses one of the greatest and most powerful principles in the Word of God today and for the rest of our lives.  Here is that Scripture:

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  -- Matthew 6: 33

This Scripture relates to everything that we are covering in this teaching.  If you seek the kingdom of God first, you are obviously turning to the arm of God.  If you seek anything else, all things will be subtracted from you instead of added to you.  This is a foundational Scripture that you should know by heart.  It will help you time and time again and I must have repeated it by memory at least 1000 times.  The principal is so simple, but I am going to say it one more time because we learn by repetition.  When you are keeping God first and seeking His kingdom first, you cannot help but to turn to the arm of God.  So many people today do not even acknowledge the existence of God and they turn to the arm of man for everything that they do.  Now there is your answer for the problems that are beginning to multiply exponentially on this earth.  So as to not have robotic love, God gave us all free will.  I never could understand how anyone could turn their back on God.

Let us now turn to the book of Romans chapter 8.  This chapter has always been a favorite of mine because it speaks so clearly and distinctly about our subject.  Let's go over one verse at a time beginning with verse five.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  – Romans 8: 5

People who live after the flesh or by the five senses care about and are concerned only with the things of the flesh.  So in obvious conclusion, they will turn to be arm of man for their answers and guidance in their lives.  But they that live by and for spiritual matters, they care about things of the Spirit and therefore rely on the arm of God as opposed to the arm of man.  Let us take a look at the next group of Scriptures and see what the results are of both different decisions.

For to be carnally minded is  death; but to be spiritually minded is  life and peace.  – Romans 8: 6

For to live after the flesh, which is to be carnally minded, is death.  This is a figure of speech because a person will still live on, but eventually their life will be so miserable that it will be like a walking death.  I, by experience, know what this is like as I experienced this type of life before I learned the Word of God.  But look at the contrast in the second part of the verse.  To be spiritually minded, which is to rely on God results in life to its fullest and peace.  That's why I say, I will never understand why anyone would not keep God first in their life.

Because the carnal mind is  enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  – Romans 8: 7

You see, the true God will never leave you hanging and will most often explain everything from His Word.  So He tells us here why people who turn to the arm of man and live their lives only by the five senses (the carnal mind) -- this way of life is in conflict with God.  It is the opposite way that a person should live and God clearly states this in this Scripture.  He says that living by the five senses is not subject to the law of God and He says it again -- it cannot be.  Do you want to argue with God?  Then go right ahead.  You see, I get people once in a while that will find my e-mail address from a search engine.  Do you know what the last letter was and that should explain to you why my e-mail address is no longer available.  This woman said to me “WHO ARE YOU?!”  And “Where did you get your information from?”  Was she interested in the Word of God or was she just looking for information that is really none of her business?  I finally learned not to answer e-mails like this.  I have asked people time and time again that when they write to me to write to me only with questions that pertain to the teachings on this website.  We need to work the Word of God, not ask stupid questions that only gender strife.  Do you think that the person who asked me this question was spiritually minded or carnally minded?

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.  – Romans 8: 8

Then God comes to us with a conclusion and explanation and He says clearly that people who are in the flesh, which means they live by the flesh and are carnally minded cannot please Him.  These people cannot please God.  It is that simple.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.  -- Romans 8: 9

Let's conclude this section with this Scripture since it again sums up everything that was previously stated in this section of Romans chapter 8.  If you do not live by the flesh or the five senses, but you are spiritually minded and you renew your mind to God's Word, then the Spirit of the true God dwells within you.  This means that you are born again of God’s spirit.  The verse concludes by saying that if you do not have the Spirit of God in Christ in you, then you do not belong to God.  And in actuality, you belong to the god of this world who is Satan.  Everyone should strive to be born again of God spirit.  That way, you belong to the true God and you can renew your mind to God's Word and have true life and peace.  Or you can choose to ignore and reject the true God and live by the way of the world that belongs to the devil.  Then, you will live a life that is similar to death.  Which choice are you going to make?  Are you going to turn to the arm of God or are you going to rely on the arm of man?

Now, since God likes to teach a principle twice to have it established, we are also going to imitate God.  We're going to go back to the book of Romans to chapter 6 to give us a clear indication of the effects of turning to the arm of man.

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed?  for the end of those things is death.  – Romans 6: 21

God is saying to the unbeliever or unbelieving believer:  “What benefits do you now have pertaining to all those things whereof you are now ashamed?”  People who have relied on the arm of man can change their ways.  Eventually, they see that they are headed down the wrong road and they are ashamed of what they've done.  Why?  Because they can see that the end of all those things they've done, when they've relied on the arm of man, lead only to death (a living death).  The latter part of this verse says about the same thing as Romans 8: 6.  In the beginning of this verse, you will see the word ‘fruit’ used.  The devil is so tricky, that at first, he will show you some benefits to living his way.  When he's got you convinced to the point that you will rely on him, he will pull the rug out right from under you and you will literally and figuratively fall on your face.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.  – Romans 6: 22

God is saying that now you have been made free from sin and if you have become servants to me by keeping me first, you will have positive fruit unto holiness and in the long run, you will have everlasting life.  Understand that we, the born-again believers, if alive when Christ returns, have everlasting life.  If we pass away, we will be raised from the dead when Jesus Christ returns the second time giving us eternal life.  When we fall asleep or are passed away, we have no recollection of time.  So the last second of our life and the second after that, we feel like nothing happened because there is no recollection of time when you pass away.  So think about this because it will bless you greatly.  When you pass away in this life, the next second you will be with Jesus Christ as far as your thinking is concerned.  The point I want to stress here is the differences that you will experience by living your life for God as compared to living your life for the world.  In the next verse, God really lays it out as clear as can be.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is  eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  – Romans 6: 23

The true God never waters down His Word.  We strive at Absolute Bible Study to do the same.  God says clearly that the results or wages of sin result in death.  Now watch the contrast.  But the gift of God when you are born again and keep Him first is eternal life as a result of what Jesus Christ accomplished while here on this earth.  Jesus Christ always did the Will of the Father.  He never sinned even once.  By the man Adam, we lost it all to the god of this world.  But by the man Jesus Christ, we got it all back.

For some reason, during the preparation for this teaching, I wrote a note down to go to a subject that causes a lot of controversy.  It is in II Corinthians and I want to show you from this example, that there are thousands of ways that you can turn to either God or man.  This is one of them.  And I will tell you this, that there are two indicators of a sold out born again, committed believer.  One of those qualifications is that the believer witnesses or shares the Word.  The second qualification is that the believer tithes or abundantly shares with the Ministry that has taught him God's Word.  He or she financially supports that Ministry.  When we got involved in the Word of God, we used to tithe enough money every month to pay a mortgage on a house.  We couldn't care less about the money -- we just gave it away.  At this day and time, we actually have more money than we know what to do with.  So God blessed us back just like He said he would.  This subject in II Corinthians talks about abundantly sharing.  I just want you to see the principle here more than anything.  That is the results of turning to the arm of God or to the arm of man.  As I said there are thousands of examples pertaining to our subject matter.  In my notes I wrote down these three Scriptures.  I am going to combine them and then we will discuss the principles and learn from them.

But this I say,  He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give;  not grudgingly, or of necessity:  for God loveth a cheerful giver.  And God is  able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, [omit ‘things’] may abound to every good work:  -- II Corinthians 9: 6 - 8

Although I have completed an extensive teaching on the subject of Tithing, we will review some of those points.  A person whose sows sparingly is a person who gives the minimum of 10% of their gross income to their ministry or church.  God will bless them, but He says they will reap sparingly.  The person who gives bountifully, which is referred to as plurality giving, shall reap bountifully.  Every man will receive back in return as much as his heart allows him to give cheerfully and not grudgingly or of necessity.  If you want to tell whether a believer is committed, you'll be able to tell by the look on their face when they reach into their wallet.  God says He loves a cheerful giver and because of that He is going to make all things abound toward you, so that always, you will have all sufficiency in every single thing and you will abound in every good work.

Let me tell you a short story about tithing that I once experienced and never ever, forgot.  I was on a job that I liked very much -- this was before I went to college.  I was selling new and used cars and trucks and I loved to apply the principles that I learned from the Word of God to my job.  However, I didn't seem to be doing very well at first and I could not figure out what was wrong.  I wasn’t turning to the arm of God.  I knew the principle that I was avoiding.  Well one day, when I went down to this  supermarket to cash my check, I asked the woman if she would give me a money order for about 12% of the gross amount of my check.  I mailed this money order into the Ministry that taught me God's Word.  I did not see immediate results, but the next week, I did the same thing.  Within a matter of three to six months, I was the top salesman at my dealership and I was selling close to 20 cars per month.  One day I sold three cars.

My boss called me aside and pointed out to our new car inventory and he said to me:  “Do you see that row of brand-new Thunderbirds over there?”  I said,  Yes I do.”  He said to me go over and pick out whichever one you want.  He said that is the car you will be driving from now on.  Back then, a salesman did not pay a dime for a demonstrator.  I used the car on weekends and wherever I wanted to go.  I never forgot that day and God gets the glory because if I did not start to abundantly share, none of this would have happened.  I would've suffered and lived what seems like a living death.  Isn't that amazing?  I can still remember that day.  I picked out a powder blue two tone T-bird.  It was beautiful.

As you know, I do not usually get into records in the Old Testament very often.  However, in this situation as pertaining to our teaching, there is an excellent detailed record of a man of God who turned to the arm of man instead of to the arm of God.  I can think of no better conclusion for this teaching.

Somewhere along the line Saul sinned against God.  Now the situation may seem difficult to explain, but when we do this, we may confess our broken fellowship but we really do not mean to be sorry for what we did and God is aware of this.  I have had this happen to me.  After I thought I was back in fellowship, I would ask God for His help and I would get nothing.  So it did appear to me and it may happen to you also, that God has forsaken you.  God never forsakes His children, so you must look for another answer.  But in this case, Saul absolutely believed that God had forsaken him and he then made a MAJOR mistake.

Samuel, who was an acquaintance of Saul was dead and all Israel lamented with him.  And at that same time Saul had done something that he actually should have done.  Let's take a look at the verse.

Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city.  And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.  – I Samuel 28: 3

I would like to stress the second part of this verse.  Saul put away those that had familiar spirits, known today as mediums.  He put all the witches and wizards out of the land.  This was a great thing because all of these people come from Satan and are controlled by Satan.  There is a fantastic book written that is now out of print, but you can get it if you look for it.  It is called “The Challenging Counterfeit”.  This book was written by a former medium who turned to Jesus Christ as his savior.  The information contained in this book will prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the existence of Satan and all of his devil spirits.  I recently acquired a copy of this book as I had gotten rid of my former copy -- why, I don't know.  If you are seriously dedicated to God's Word, you will make a point to get your hands on this book.  As my beloved branch leader used to always say -- it'll blow your mind.  There is a movement that started in the 1800’s that is referred to today as Spiritualism.  It is such a counterfeit, it will shake you up a bit.  All of the different types and facets of this movement is gone over in detail in this book.  I strongly recommend that you read and study this book.  It will prove to you the existence of Satan and that is why I wrote the teaching, “How Satan Defeats Himself”.  Those people in the second half of the above verse were spiritualists.  When it is said that a person has a familiar spirit, they actually have what is referred to as a spirit guide.  This can be in the form of an ancient leader or a witch doctor or any other kind of nonsense that the adversary can conjure up.  This spirit may have been around a very long time and has a great deal of knowledge pertaining to certain people.  So that is why that spirit is referred to as a familiar spirit.  The person who is operating a séance or other spiritualist meeting is controlled by his or her spirit guide.  It makes it sound so interesting, doesn't it?  You go to one of those readings and you might as well put a 45 to your head.  It has been documented that people who seek out the dead and go to séances eventually wind up with serious mental depression and are even committed to mental institutions after having a nervous breakdown.  Don't you ever go near anything that is of the occult or has to do with Spiritualism.  This includes the use of the Ouija board.  Don't ever go near these Satanic devices or you will have a heck of a time trying to get delivered.

Saul got all of these people gathered together and put them out of the land and that was the Godly thing to do.  But watch what he did later on when he felt that God had forsaken him.  This is truly a dynamic record in the Word of God that you should never forget because it also illustrates the laws of giving equals receiving.  Let's take a look at what Saul did not long after he put the mediums, etc. out of the land.

Saul had a change of heart and he knew that the Philistines were gathering themselves together to overthrow Israel.  Let’s let the Word speak.

I Samuel 28: 5 - 20

5.  And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.

6.  And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

7.  Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her.  And his servants said to him, Behold, there is  a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.

8.  And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night:  and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him  up, whom I shall name unto thee.

9.  And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?

10.  And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As  the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.

11.  Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee?  And he said, Bring me up Samuel.

12.  And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice:  and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me?  for thou art  Saul.

13.  And the king said unto her, Be not afraid:  for what sawest thou?  And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.

14.  And he said unto her, What form is  he of?  And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is  covered with a mantle.  And Saul perceived that it was  Samuel, and he stooped with his  face to the ground, and bowed himself.

15.  And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up?  And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

16.  Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?

17.  And the Lord hath done to him, as he spake by me:  for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even  [omit ‘even’] to David:

18.  Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the Lord done this thing unto thee this day.

19.  Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt  thou and thy sons be  with me:  the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.

20.  Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel:  and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.

Saul was very afraid of the Philistines and in his heart, he trembled as seen in verse 5.  Now we should know by now that fear is sand in the machinery of life.  What you fear in the innermost part of your being, will come to pass.  So Saul went to the Lord again and God did not answer him because Saul was still out of fellowship - that's the only reason.  In verse seven, Saul went to his servants and you almost will not believe what he did.  He said to his servants to find him a woman that had a familiar spirit -- a devil spirit.  There was one person mentioned to him and she was at the city of Endor and was known as the witch of Endor.  Saul, being afraid of what he had done to these people, disguised himself and he went with two other men and came to the woman at nighttime and he said to her will you divine unto me the familiar spirit of Samuel and bring me him up from the dead.  Now watch this closely in verse 9.  Satan is not stupid and this woman knew it was Saul who was inquiring of her.  Now how did she know this?  The god of this world told her -- it's that simple.  Counterfeit revelation is given to people every single day.  That's why you need to know the genuine to be able to recognize the counterfeit.  How simple can that be?  Well she looked straight at Saul and she said I know what you have done and how you have cut off those who have familiar spirits and all the wizards – you have put us out of the land.  Are you trying to lay a trap for my life, to cause me to die?  And Saul made a promise to her in verse 10, by the Lord yet, and he said, as the Lord liveth, no punishment will happen to you for this thing.  Then the woman got right down to business in verse 11 and said, who would you want me to bring up?  And Saul said, bring me up Samuel.  Now remember, Samuel was dead.  The record says the woman saw Samuel in verse 12.  She saw no such thing.  Her spirit guide took on the facial impression of Samuel and then she cried out says the verse.  She never cried out.  This spirit guide that was imitating Samuel cried out.  The medium is always in a trance and doesn't know what is happening.  If you read The Challenging Counterfeit, you will understand this much clearer.  Everything that was being said supposedly by the woman was being said by the spirit guide of that woman.  Mediums are only channels for devil spirits to operate within that medium.  This may be difficult for you to understand, but if you think about it logically, it makes sense.  The medium or person who has a familiar spirit (guide) becomes possessed by the spirit guide which is a devil spirit.  That devil spirit possesses and controls the vocal cords of the medium making it appear like it is the medium who is speaking when it is really a devil spirit in the form of a guide.  Many mediums awaken from a séance and have no idea whatsoever as to what took place.  Possibly this can help you to understand what is being said here.  Saul turned back to the arm of man by going to this woman who had a familiar spirit and in the future, he was surely going to pay the price and he did.  Not only did he pay a price, but his family also paid a price with their lives.  Believe me, you can never imagine how dangerous it is to you and even your family if you dabble in the occult especially in Spiritualism.  It may appear interesting and exciting at first but it will kill you in the end.  You'll either live a life of misery or you will commit suicide or you will have a nervous breakdown or you will have to deal with clinical depression.  This is how Satan works.  This is how the god of this world operates today.  If man does not turn to the arm of God, this world will continually get worse and worse and worse to the point where it's hardly bearable to live your life.  The exception is the believer who is sold out to the Word of God.  God will protect that person and keep him from evil.  This is serious business.

Everything that Saul saw in verses 13 and 14 were an illusion caused by the devil spirit guide imitating Samuel.  The spirit guide puts an act on for Saul and asks Saul why he has disturbed him.  So Saul tells him about the Philistines and about the invasion that's about to happen and he looks to Samuel for advice as to what to do.  This is the reason many times that people attend séances.  They think that people who died are on the ‘other side’ and are still living, so they go to them for advice.  The whole thing is one major massive counterfeit designed and put together very well by Satan, the god of this world.  Saul tells Samuel that he has gone to God and that God has forsaken him.  You see that Saul puts his trust in this devil spirit who was imitating Samuel.  In verse 16, the so-called Samuel begins to converse with Saul acting as if this is a genuine conversation and he says to him:  Now, you are coming to me because you say that the true God has forsaken you and is now your enemy.  Going to verse 18, that counterfeit Samuel actually says to him that because he did not obey the voice of God that God has brought him here today.  And if it sounds like a bunch of nonsense, that's what it is coming from this spirit guide who is a devil spirit operating through this medium, who is the witch of Endor.  Remember, she is in a trance-like state and doesn't know anything that's going on.  And here is the point of what eventually happens when you turn to Satanic ways or the arm of man.  In verse 19, this devil spirit tells Saul that the Philistines are going to defeat Israel.  Then in verse 20, Saul falls flat on its face as a result of this news.  He was very afraid because of the words of the counterfeit Samuel and he had no strength in him.  This was partly because he did not eat all day and all night.

I would also like to point out an effect of attending a séance such as this was.  Many times, when a medium is awakened, he or she is physically exhausted.  This could have been part of the reason for Saul's weakness.

Now let's go to chapter 31 to see what happened when Israel was defeated by the Philistines.  Watch what happened to Saul.

You should remember at this point that even though it was a spirit guide that was speaking through the witch, it did appear to everyone present that it was the witch that was speaking.  Let's go to I Samuel and the record at the end of the battle.  Always remember that when Saul turned to the witch of Endor, that he had clearly turned to the arm of man and now you will see the end result.

And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers.  – I Samuel 31: 3

Just as the witch of Endor had prophesied, the battle went against Saul and he was hit by many archers and was terribly wounded of those archers.  By his own free will, Saul believed that the true God had forsaken him and he turned to the worst possible place he could turn for advice and that was to a medium.

Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me.  But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid.  Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.  – I Samuel 31: 4

Saul was defeated and he knew it.  He did not want to be mocked by his conquerors and he had nothing else to live for.  So he said to his armorbearer to take out his sword and thrust it through him.  He wanted to commit suicide and he asked someone to do it for him.  But his armorbearer just could not do it, because he was afraid.  So Saul took a sword and he fell upon it taking his own life.

And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.  -- I Samuel 31: 5

Here we see that when his leader was gone, the armorbearer took out his own sword and he died with Saul.

So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.  – I Samuel 31: 6

This was just as the witch of Endor had prophesied.  Saul died, his armorbearer died, his three sons died, and all his men died with him on the same day together.

I don't mean to be negative, but lately a lot of serious things in the form of Satanic attacks have come upon me.  But I laugh deep in myself, because I am still here and I'm still teaching God's Word.  Although I like to end teachings on a positive note, this actually is a very positive note because it teaches a very important lesson.  When you turn to the arm of man as compared to the arm of God, your life can wind up like this record in the book of Samuel.  I always caution people never to go near anything even the least bit similar to hypnotism or ESP or transcendental meditation.  Astrology is also in the category of the occult.  As I said at the beginning of this teaching, there are so many examples that I could have used to get my point across.  However this record in Samuel was one that stayed in my mind all of my life.  It also teaches you a little bit about spiritualism which is the most devilish movement in the world today.  It has been more prominent in Europe than in the United States but it is still practiced today.  All of these people turn to the arm of man and in the end, they will wind up with a similar fate, if not the same as Saul.  I thought it was time to be serious and to tell you exactly like it is so you open up your Bible in the morning and pray to God Almighty and to learn how to speak in tongues and that you hold forth the Word of God to people.  When a person is agitating you, try speaking the Word to them and you will be amazed at what will take place.  They either have to turn on to it or they’re going to run.  Either way, you win.  God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ.
