The Exact Right Moment in Time

INTRODUCTION:

I know that you have heard me say this many times and I’m going to say it again.  This teaching on this subject, if you are a dedicated believer, will blow your mind.  It will answer so many questions that you may have about God and how He moves and when He moves and why He moves.  So often, let’s face it, we all have our doubts about the timing of God’s movements.  What I mean is that we pray for something and we wonder why that prayer has not been answered.  So we blame God and we become frustrated and eventually we can and do defeat ourselves concerning the importance of worshiping our Heavenly Father.  This teaching will answer your questions pertaining to the reason that your prayers have not been answered or a circumstance that you need changed seems not to be changing, but staying the same.  I have become frustrated myself many times wondering why it is taking God so long to answer that one prayer that is so important to me.  Well, this teaching is going to answer that question for you.

I want to explain to you that there are many teachings that I have taken mainly from my research materials and there are some teachings such as The Parasite Principle which no one has taught me, except God.  This is one of those teachings.  The topic of the teaching, I did find in one of my research materials.  It was either my lexicon, concordance, or figures of speech used in the Bible.  I don’t feel it is important to seek out the source at this present time.  The principle needs to be taught.  I would like to say that when I found this principle, I was as excited as can be.  It gave me answers to questions that I had for years and years.  This is my own teaching and it is taken from my knowledge of God’s Word – glory to Him.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.  – Ephesians 5: 15 – 17

Did you ever take a look at these Scriptures?  They seem very simple don’t they?  But to walk circumspectly means to make the best use of your time so that we don’t become a fool but we become wise, because the days are evil.  Why are the days evil?  Because the devil is the present god of this world and he runs the show for those who are not born again.  But don’t take my word for it – take a look at II Corinthians 4: 4.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  – II Corinthians 4: 4

What is one of the things that the god of this world makes an effort to blind?  He tries to blind people from the way God operates.  Believe me, God is the smoothest operator in this universe.  And now we get into our topic about God’s timing.  If the enemy makes you feel that your prayers are not getting answered, you begin to question your faith in the true God.  You must remember that the adversary is an unbelievable expert at deception.  That is why you must know the true Word of God.  When you are through with this study, you will understand how God operates and why.  As I said in the introduction, we sometimes are confused and then discouraged because our prayers are not answered when we think they should be.  You must understand that this is not our job – it is God’s job to determine the exact right moment in time when your prayer(s) should be answered.  You have got to understand how important this principle is for you to understand and apply His Word and live the more than abundant life.  I am living in a neighborhood that is absolutely from hell.  Why?  Because the enemy knows, as we discussed in II Corinthians 4: 4, that he is going to do everything to blind the mind of those that don’t believe.  Believe what?  God’s principles that I convey to you in my heart in this teaching and in all of my teachings.  He is trying to stop me and any true believer.

For those of us who are born again, we must understand how God operates even though at times, it is truly a mystery.  Only last night, I received Revelation that I would’ve rather had about 10 years ago.  But God knew that I was ready to believe.  You see, He understood that it was the best and perfect moment – the exact right moment in time to give this revelation to me to help me and to set me free.  I had nothing but discouragement and confusion pertaining to the subject and that came from the god of this world.  But God knew that I was ready to receive such dynamic Revelation pertaining to the neighborhood in which I live.  I had people make up stories about me about things that I never did – I had a person threaten my life and the police never did a thing.  I decided to go on the offensive and you must be very careful when you do this because the enemy is waiting for you to make a mistake.  But remember, self-defense is a biblical concept.  That’s all I’m going to say about that subject.  We are now going to cover a number of Scriptures in Ephesians.

We need to walk wisely and to make the best use of our time and to understand the Will of God.  The following verses will tell you why.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places [from on high].

A sold out believer for the Lord Jesus Christ understands that we are not in a flesh and blood battle, but we are in a spiritual battle all the time.  As the Scripture says, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the rulers of the darkness of this world.  The verse is self-explanatory, but many people don’t even believe there is a devil.  It’s a pitiful sight and world today where the adversary is coming up with more methods and devices then you can imagine.  He wants to take as many people with him as he can because he knows that Jesus Christ is coming back soon.  You can be born again of God’s spirit and still live a terrible life because you do not renew your mind to God’s Word.  You must learn and acquire a habit of studying the Bible first thing in the morning and then you must pray.  I cannot begin to express to you how important those two things are for you to be blessed.  Now you can see why you must walk wisely and you must redeem the time so that you don’t become a fool as the above Scripture states at the beginning of this teaching.  So now you know why.  We wrestle against the devil and all of his devil spirits.  I know that may sound a little scary but you must remember that greater is the Christ in you than all the devil spirits in the world.  Sometimes you need to confront Satan face-to-face.  I’ve done it.  I rebuked a problem neighbor right to his face in the name of Jesus Christ.  I even called him Satan and I commanded him to leave my property.  He put his head down, didn’t say a word, and walked away.  I must say I was amazed because I did not use my power of attorney in a long time.  Try it.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour [all the resources] of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day [the evil one], and having done all, to stand.

In this verse, we are told to take the whole armor of God which simply understood means that we are to take advantage of all the resources of God.  Now God has a lot of resources.  Why do we need to do this?  So that we can withstand the evil one.  Day should be interpreted as ’one’.  Now, when rightly divided that sentence makes a lot more sense, doesn’t it?  There are many errors in translation because there are no original translations left on this earth.   We have the closest to the originals that are available.  If we put on in our mind all the resources of God, then, and only then are we able to withstand the evil one and beat his brains to the ground.  That’s how we stand - when we apply God’s Word in our life.  So many people have difficulty with some of these verses.  All you need to do is to read what is written and you’ll be able to understand it.

 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on [‘on’ is not in the text] the breastplate [heart] of righteousness;

We need to stand having our loins girt about with the truth of God’s Word.  We also must have on the heart of righteousness.  God will repeat himself many times because He knows that we learn by repetition.  In the above verse He says to have our loins girt about with the truth of God’s Word.  In the previous verse He says to take unto us all the armor or resources of God.

And your feet shod [clothed with or trained] with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

And God wants your feet clothed with or trained with the preparation of the gospel of peace which as we know is the Word of God.  This is not difficult to understand, in fact, it is rather simple.

Above all, taking the shield of faith [believing], wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And most importantly, as God clearly states in the beginning of the verse, we must take or master the shield of faith which is believing.  Because if we do, we are able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  Again, we can rub Satan’s face in the dirt.  Believing is one of the greatest laws in the Bible.  We should have confidence, trust and faith in God and we should not have doubt, worry or fear.  I have done a number of teachings on the law of believing.  You may want to review those teachings since they are extremely important if you are to live the more than abundant life.

Don’t forget that in all of these teachings we are stressing the why of walking circumspectly – which means by God’s timetable.  We are not to determine when certain things are to happen in our lives.  God will show us when the time is correct and He will reveal to us what we need to know.  Just never give up because there is nothing to turn back to.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Here again, we are able to see how God continues to repeat what He already said.  Again, He knows that we need to hear it over and over again before it sinks into our heart and we finally apply it.  And getting back to the subject matter of this teaching, God knows the exact right moment in time when He should do something or should teach us a great truth by Revelation.  This is a fascinating principle because it will set you free from impatience and discouragement.  God is exhorting us in the above verse to take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.  How simple can that be?  We can easily understand what God is saying but can we apply it in our lives?  That is the big question.  I always said to do your best and God will do the rest.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  -- Ephesians 6: 12 - 18

Now this verse is powerful in many respects.  Many Christians believe that they should pray with their understanding and we should do that at certain times.  But the verse is saying to always pray with prayer and supplication and here it is:  in the spirit.  This actually is saying that we are to speak in tongues as much as is possible all throughout our day.  This is a principle that is extremely difficult to acquire since we are distracted by the world in almost everything that we do.  When we pray in the spirit we are also to watch with all perseverance and supplication for the welfare of all the believers.  I’m not going to turn to it, but I am going to tell you that it was Paul who said, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all’.  Paul spoke in tongues more than any other believer and he had received from God the greatest revelation of any disciple, apostle, or believer.  God trusted him with the great Mystery which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  The more we speak in tongues in our private prayer life, the more dynamic our life will be.  This is the only way to strengthen the spirit within us.  You must get that inside your mind and never forget it.  You can pray until you’re blue in the face with your understanding and you will not strengthen the spirit.  The only way to make the spirit stronger within you is to pray in the spirit - speak in tongues which is the same thing.

Now all of these things that we have learned up to this point is only because God found the right time to teach this to us.  But the neatest part about this whole teaching is that it is in the exact right moment in time.  I was studying hard one day in one of my research materials and I ran across this statement.  I was thankful because it answered so many of my questions and got rid of so much confusion and pushed all the discouragement aside.  I knew then that God Almighty surely knew what He was doing, when He was doing it, and why He was doing it.  It will set you free to think about it and you’ll feel much better about your godliness – your true and vital spiritual relationship with God.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men  liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

This could not be stated any simpler.  That word ‘liberally’ literally means “without a second thought”.  You may not get the answer that you want, but God will surely answer your prayer.  If He feels that it is not the right time for you to learn a spiritual principle, then he simply will not tell you.  It has been said in a slightly humorous way that if you go to Daddy for a cookie, there may not be any cookies in the cookie jar.  This is for your protection because God knows that we cannot handle certain types of Revelation because we do not study enough or it is simply not the right time.  We are to go to God for wisdom and not to man.  Most people today worship men, but they will find themselves flat on her face when they really need the power that’s not there.

But let him ask in faith [believing], nothing wavering.  For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

This is another Scripture that is extremely important to understand.  If God knows that you are going to doubt Revelation, He will not give you any.  We are to ask with believing and not with any doubt – with nothing in our mind wavering back and forth.  God then goes on to say that he that wavers, changes his mind, is like the wave of the sea which is driven with the wind and tossed to and fro.  This man who wavers cannot be trusted because he does not truly believe that God’s revelation is correct.  The next verse will tell you the result.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

That man who keeps changing his mind and wavers back and forth like the wave of the sea - that man should not think that he will receive anything of the Lord.  Why?  Because God has foreknowledge and He can see the future and he knows that this man will then flip in and flip out – back and forth in his mind.  Eventually this person will come to harm when the enemy sees that he has all types of doubt pertaining to what God is trying to tell him.  So God will simply not give that man anything as far as revelation is concerned.

A double minded man is  unstable in all his ways.  – James 1: 5 – 8

Now here we get into the conclusion of what the context is talking about.  God says that a double minded man is unstable in all of his ways.  He cannot be trusted.  He does not believe, but he has doubt about what God would like to tell him.  It’s been said in certain circles that a double minded man is like a schizophrenic.  I don’t really believe this is a good analogy.  Many times in my life and walk with God, I was sure that God had given me correct revelation and yet doubt would enter into my mind.  I was never able to properly apply that principle until I renewed my mind to the point where I had no doubt whatsoever – simply 100% positive thinking and believing that what God had told me was the exact right revelation in the exact right moment of time.  Then I was able to profit from what God would tell me.

Be careful [anxious or distracted] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  – Philippians 4: 6

Why should we do things according to God’s timetable?  So that we will not be anxious or distracted pertaining to the things that we pray for.  Instead, by our prayers that we present to God with thanksgiving, we simply let our requests be made known unto Him.  In other words, we let go and we let God.  When you are anxious or distracted, you cannot be in fellowship with God.  This is when the enemy moves in and he will make matters worse for you.  When we make a request to God, we must trust in His timing and the fact that He knows exactly when to answer that prayer.  I’m sure we have said this enough times for you to understand.  Now in the book of I Peter, we will see God repeat this once again.  We will see why we should adhere to Philippians 4: 6.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

We are to listen to God and not to argue with Him so that he can lift you up at the time of your need.  Don’t be anxious and distracted to have your prayers answered because God knows when He should answer your prayer.  The next verse tells you why you should be humble to God.  If not, there are consequences.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

The word ‘care’ in this verse means basically the same thing as in Philippians 4: 6.  It means we are not to be distracted which can result in anxiety if we are in a hurry to get our prayers answered.  If you do your best, God will teach you patience because He is God Almighty and we are sure that He knows what He is doing, when He is doing it, and why He is doing it.  Why does God want you to cast all of your care upon him?

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Because there is a devil and we must be sober and we must be vigilant.  This devil walks about to and fro on the earth and he seeks someone to devour.  It could be a single person or a large group of people.  But he is persistent and he never gives up.  The only thing that defeats him is the Word of God rightly divided and applied living in the mind of a born again believer.  That is why you must learn to depend on God and to be humble towards Him and then He will protect you.  This all comes about as a result of our free will.  We have free will not to listen to God if we so choose – if we want to commit social suicide.  I chose to depend upon God in very unusual circumstances.  Many times, every person on earth seems to be against me and trying to hurt me.  I live my life to move God’s Word and that is the only reason I am alive.  I may have a lot of material things but they mean absolutely nothing to me when it comes to God and His Word.  I live to continue the work that Jesus Christ began and that is to destroy the works of the devil.  I have learned to live this life the hard way, but it was very much worth it and I will continue to do so and no one on this earth will stop me.  What are your goals pertaining to God and His Word?

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

We are to resist the enemy and stand steadfast with believing knowing that we are not the only ones who suffer afflictions.  There are many other brothers and sisters who suffer the same afflictions for God, but they stand and the cement has dried up to their knees.  They can’t be moved and these are the kind of believers that we need today.  Christ should be coming back soon and the enemy is going out of his mind trying to find new ways to distract people and make them anxious.  I see people in a gym that I go to who walk around with cell phones up to their ears.  I see people on nature trails and they do the same thing with a cigarette in their mouth.  How many people do you see standing out in their front yard talking on their cell phones?  They want to be seen.  This is just like the Scribes and Pharisees who used to pray loudly on the street corners and up on the roofs.  They want people to see them.  Hey look at me, I’ve got that new cell phone or I’ve got a new truck or I’ve got that new computer.  It’s all vanity – it ends in depression and destruction for that person.  But the enemy will lead people on and lead them on until they have nothing left.  Then he deserts them and goes on to someone new.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered [endured] a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.  – I Peter 5: 6 – 10

But then there is the alternative and that is to rely on God in all of his grace.  Grace is divine favor.  He has called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus.  When Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead, he defeated the devil.  People just don’t know it.  And after you suffer a while with great tribulation and loneliness at times, God will always come to help you and He will make you perfect in many ways.  He will establish you and what you are trying to accomplish.  He will give you the strength to accomplish your goals.  And last but not least, He will give you something that no one can have unless they walk with the power of God in the renewed mind with the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation.  And God puts it in the following way:  He will settle you.  He will see that you are calm and cool and collected and how many people do you see like that today.  And when you do see someone who is settled, you seem to want to be around that person, don’t you?  If you are manifesting the love of God today, people will want to be around you even if they don’t act like it.  Everyone is searching for peace today.  So take those old ways and put them to rest.  Behold, once we are born again and renew our minds, all things become new.

Let’s conclude this teaching with the book of Romans chapter 8.

Knowing this, that our old man is [was] crucified with him,  that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

We have got to take our old man ways and hide them somewhere in our minds in a place where they can’t escape.  Those old ways were crucified with Jesus Christ so that the body of sin might be destroyed and so that we henceforth should not serve sin any longer.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.  – Romans 6: 6 – 7

This may be a little bit difficult for some of you to understand.  When the verse says that a person who is dead is free from sin, it is referring to the death of Jesus Christ.  It may be hard to understand, but in a figurative manner it is not.  I will just tell it like it is.  When Jesus Christ died on the cross, we died with him and when he was raised from the dead, we were raised with him.  So when he died on the cross and we died with him, we were made free from sin.  Once we got born-again, we were given a new life and that new life was of course free from all sin.  Every sin that we had before we got born-again of God’s spirit was completely and totally wiped away when we became born again.  After we got born-again, by our own free will, we can decide to sin again and that is where the book of I John comes into play.  We are instructed in the first chapter that we can sin, however we can confess that sin to God and get back in fellowship with Him.    However, you should be able to see the importance of having patience and humbleness pertaining to God’s timing and the exact right moment in time when He decides that things should be done.  Obviously, it’s for our own good.

For to be carnally minded is  death; but to be spiritually minded is  life and peace.

I have proven to myself that this is true so why would anyone choose to be carnally minded and to walk only by the five senses?  To be spiritually minded is to have life and peace and to walk by the Revelation of the Word of God.

Because the carnal mind is  enmity against God:  for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  -- Romans 8: 6 – 7

The mind of the five senses man is in conflict with God.  Why?  Because it is not subject to the law of God and it cannot be.  Above we learn that the five senses man is carnally minded and that is equivalent to death.  God is stating as clearly as He can that the five senses man is in conflict with the spiritual way of living according to God’s Word.  There is just no way around it.  God says it – that settles it.  You must remember that many people are born again, yet they live a carnal lifestyle.  They do not study God’s Word and of course they cannot apply it, but they think that going to church every Sunday or watching a religious show on television makes up for their lack of dedication and commitment.  Who puts these thoughts in people’s heads?  As pertaining to our prayers and how we wait for them to be answered, I will say it one more time.  God will answer your prayers at the exact right moment in time.  It’s dynamic and fascinating.

But if we hope for that we see not, then  do we with patience wait for it.  – Romans 8: 25

This word ‘patience’ is most interesting when completely understood.  It is referring to stamina or endurance.  We must have these two qualities to be able to believe and to stand with the true God.  The enemy has stamina and endurance, but remember this.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them [every devil spirit on earth]:  because greater is he that is in you, that he that is in the world.  – I John 4: 4
